How Often & Where Are Gradings Held?

SAMA Karate & Kick Boxing gradings are held every 2 months. If you are unable to make our Woking grade don't worry as we also hold gradings In Smallfield which our students are more than welcome to attend. For info on these gradings please click here to visit samacentral website

What Do I Need To bring to Grade?

Dont forget to bring your white membership book with up to date insurance slip attached for the karate grading or  
your black membership card with up to date insurance attached for the Kick Boxing grading

What Are Pre-Grade Classes For?

We run separate children karate classes on the day of the grading. They are specialist classes for children who already have 3 Black stripes on their belt ( 1 RED stripe from Green belt) or children who are very close to grade and need a final stripe. The classes are aimed solely at giving our students extra practice on their grade work an hour before the grading begins,
This class has many benefits. As well as being a refresher on all grade work for the students, it also includes work on breathing, strength, focus etc. Other benefits include: last minute answers to any questions the student has regarding their grade work and an extra confidence boost to shake off any nerves. All very important for achieving a good pass mark

There is no need to pre book for this lesson just come along on the day. The class cost is £4.00 also payable on the day.

When can i Grade? ( these are minium times between grades training twice a weekly )

Other Important Grading Information

Kick Boxers must wear the SAMA Kick Boxing uniform, No jewelry at all to be worn, Please bring your own skipping rope

Karate students must wear a clean pressed karate gi (suit) complete with the SAMA badge on the left breast.
No jewelry at all to be worn. All students taking the orange stripe or above grading must bring a set of sparring
equipment as they are required the spar for grade. Students without sparring equipment will automatically drop a
pass mark which could result in the student failing their grade

White Belt up to Blue/White Belt - Under 16 Grading £15.00 | Adult Grading £20.00
 
9th KYU and above (Orange Belt), sparring equipment is required and this can be bought from the instructors.  Full Sparring Kit (Foot, Shin and Sparring Mitts) - £25.00
 
Brown Belt and above - Under 16 Grading £20.00 | Adult Grading £25.00
